JobApp Network, Inc. (JobApp) was formed in 2007 through the acquisition of certain assets of InterActive Voice Data Fax, Inc. (IVDF), whose flagship brand was called JobApp Network. In conjunction with this asset acquisition, JobApp Network, Inc. received a funding commitment of $4.0 million in late 2007 from an investor group led by Vineyard Capital Group.

IVDF, JobApp's predecessor, was the pioneer in deploying web and database linked interactive voice response and fax-on-demand solutions. Founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1997, IVDF focused on leading edge IVR and fax solutions for high volume hiring. Marquee client projects of IVDF included:
|
- US Navy: Execution of 5 million unit enhanced calling card campaign
- JC Penney: processed over 400,000 phone applications and distributed completed applications by fax to over 1200 stores throughout the USA
- PowerOne / Center for American Jobs: Processed over 2 million phone applications for over 300 distinct jobs
- Census 2000: Won bid to handle IVR phone application used to hire all census staff required in one of four US regions
- Owens Corning: Processed over 20,000 phone applications in a single day

By 2005 IVDF had developed and retained the rights to 10 industry exclusive features all relating to hourly and high volume recruiting and hiring. The JobApp Dispenser, a business process patent pending innovation, was created during this period when a large retailer approached IVDF with problems stemming from the expensive, problem-prone, and difficult to use computer recruiting kiosks and devices deployed in its stores. |

After having secured limited additional funding in 2006 from a group of Michigan-based investors, IVDF sold its core HR, IVR, web technologies, and operating assets to a group of investors led by Vineyard Capital Group in 2007. The majority of IVDF's key employees have since been hired by JobApp Network, Inc. As part of the acquisition, Vineyard Capital Group agreed to commit $4.0 million to build out advanced functionality such as hourly on-boarding and new employee orientation, Spanish language web and phone application portals, rapid integration tools for HRIS systems, HRXML integration for background checks, and other advanced features. The new investor group brought in a highly experienced board of directors, including the founder of one of the largest healthcare IT consulting and outsourcing companies in the US, the former COO of Compuware, a newly retired senior executive from Domino's Pizza, and the founder and chairman of a pre-employment screening services company. In December 2007, the new investor group also appointed a new CEO and embarked on a plan to rapidly build out advanced features and aggressively market the JobApp product to hourly employers of all sizes, from single location operators to large enterprises with hundreds of major locations. |
